Born London in 1955, Lesley Redgate migrated to South Australia in 1967. She began her career as an artist and art teacher in 1977. During 1994 and 1997 she traveled to England, France and Italy after winning the Thomas Laird Memorial Traveling Art Study Award. She is represented in the Victorian National Gallery as a result of being selected for the Michelle Endowment Award. Lesley continues her practice as Visual Artist as well as Coordinator/Lecturer of Graphic Design, TAFE SA.
